Here comes the second day of navratri….i am sure you enjoyed your first date now time to prepare for the next one…lets have some snacks and enjoy the fast…one talking about bhel brings makes you feel mouth watering and an instant khata meetha flavour lingers your toungue but oh no you remember you are fasting,but then you can cook your own bhel and satisfy your hunger…

Important Ingredients to collect:

  • 100 gms sabudana
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • oil(ghee,groundnut oil or normal cooking oil)
  • sendha namak as per taste
  • 1 whole lemon juice lemon
  • 1 spoon rai(optional),according to fasting criteria
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1/2 spoon black pepper
  • 2 chilies

For touch ups:

3-4 curry leaves

Quick Steps:

  • Wash sabudana and leave it in water for 15 mins,then rinse and keep aside for 2 hours.
  • Roast peanuts in a pan and coarsely grind them so that they become small pieces and remove its outer covering
  • In a pan add oil,rai and let it splutter,then add curry leaves,green chilies and soaked sabudana
  • add peanuts,salt,black pepper and lemon juice
  • cover for two minutes
  • then in pan add oil,rai curry leaves for tadka
  • Serve bhel and on top of it put the above tadka

Ready to eat bhel with yogurt
