Besan samosa

‘Holi’a festival that needs no description, a word that brings enthusiasm on hearing itself. 

A trend to cook varieties of delicacies on the festival to treat your guests and friends and enjoy the colorful festival has been carried forward from many years,  so quickly step into the kitchen and prepare this simple samosa as it’s different from traditional aloo ones. 



  • 100 gms gram flour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Pinch of salt
  • Water to knead 
  • Pinch of asofoetida
  • Chilli powder 
  • Tatri or dry mango powder 
  •  1 spoon roasted Cumin powder 
  •  1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Black salt
  • Oil


  • 250 gms flour (maida) 
  • Water
  • Pinch of salt 
  • Oil for frying 

Method :

  • In a bowl of water add asofoetida and use it to prepare a dough of gram flour by adding salt to it. 
  • Now roll it similar to chappati and deep fry in a pan by adding oil. 
  • Once it is done grind it into a powder  add all other ingredients of filling. 
  • Now prepare a soft dough using flour and roll into small circles, divide into half  and give a shape of of cone. 

  • Put the filling and seal the edges using water and flour paste. 
  • Press it tightly and seal the edges 

  • Deep fry until it turns golden brown on slow flame.
