Corn Bhel

There are lot of cuisines, food styles, different flavours, meals cooked in different way and each one of it has its own unique taste and aroma.Its not always that you are cooking means you are all time full with unhealthy food,  there are lot of healthy  things that taste better and are far more healthier, corn is one of them.

Corn is  one of the main cereals, its contains antioxidant agents and many vitamin and mineral, its becomes monotonous to always roast the corn and apply salt and lemon and take a bite, but cant help it out because you don’t want to eat normal bhel and gain fat and remain in the guilt of being consuming fat, then why not modify our roasted corn and turn it into a bhel, enjoy the chatpata flavour and bring a million dollar smile to your loved ones face..

Cooking & Preparation time: 25-30 mins

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup corn kernels (Not sweet corn)
  • 1 cup peanuts roasted and coarsely grinded
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1 green chilli
  • ginger
  • 1 spoon black mustard seeds (rai)
  • 1/2 spoon pepper
  • 1 spoon chat masala
  • salt to taste
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 spoons lemon juice
  • oil 

Steps: 

  • Take out corn kernels from corn by using peeler or you can boil corns and easily take out kernels from it, grind it a little by adding half of milk, chilli and ginger
  • In a pan add oil, mustard seeds and let it crackle, then add curry leaves
  • Now add corn, roasted peanuts and other ingredients and then left over milk
  • Cover it with a lid and cook for 10 mins, add lemon juice
  • Serve hot
